MINOR LEAGUE:

  • Consists of Players 5 to 12 years of age with a medically diagnosed disability

  • Start time begins at 10AM

  • The game will last for approximately 1 hour

  • Team choices: Orioles or Athletics

MAJOR LEAGUE:

  • Consists of Players ages 13 to senior citizens with a medically diagnosed disability

  • Start time begins at 11:15AM

  • The game will last for approximately 1 hour

  • Team choices: Phillies or Yankees

LEAGUE RULES

(League rules are subject to change.)

  • No parent/guardian = No play! The parent/guardian is expected to be the first responder in a case of sudden illness, accident or injury to their child. Parents/Guardians are also expected to have on hand any specific medications for their child and are solely responsible for all medical decisions involving their child.

  • Please bring any medication or apparatuses that are required for your health and safety while playing outside in variable weather conditions.

  • Please arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled game time. (Allow time for parking, fill out name tags, warm-ups and for Players to get paired with a Buddy.)

  • Games consist up to 2 innings (Depending to time and attendance).

  • Scores of games are irrelevant and will remain tied at the end of each inning/game.

  • Sportsmanship should be demonstrated by all Players, Coaches, Buddies and Spectators at all times.

  • Games are subjected to last minute cancellations due to inclement weather. Please check your email provided at registration, or check our social media websites for game status updates.

  • There will be no make-up games scheduled due to game cancellations.

  • Only authorized persons are allowed on the field. Once a game starts, only Players, Buddies, and Coaches with a signed release form on file are allowed on the field. Parents, siblings, grandparents, etc. are not allowed on the field or in the dugout while a game is in play.

  • Grabbing for and/or taking the microphone away from the Announcer is strictly prohibited!

  • Making announcements/talking on the CCNJML PA system without prior consent from a CCNJML Official is prohibited.

  • Once the game has begun, cell phone use is strictly prohibited while on the field.

  • If you must use your cell phone, first inform one of the coaching staff and/or another buddy so your player is not left unattended and step off the playing field.

  • If a player must leave for any reason before the game has officially ended, the Player's parent/guardian must inform a Coach or a CCNJML Official.

  • Smoking is not allowed on or off the field. If you must smoke, you'll need to partake in the parking lot.

  • If you need help or assistance of any kind please ask a Coach or CCNJML Official.

BATTING >

  • Each Player bats at least once per inning.

  • Each Player reaches each base safely and no player is ever called "OUT!"

  • Last batter of the inning circles all four bases.

  • Players can choose between being pitched to or hit off a tee.

    • Players who are pitched to will receive a maximum of 6 pitches each at bat before using a tee so games can remain on time.

    • The Pitcher must be a Coach or an approved "Buddy" only. Players are strictly prohibited!

  • Unless a home run is hit or the ball bounces over the outfield fence for a ground rule double, each Player will advance one base.

  • Batting order can change each inning (Coach's preference).

DRESS CODE >

  • Uniforms (Team shirt) are required for each game, but please dress appropriately for the weather.

  • Name tags must be worn when on the field. This includes, Players, Buddies, and Coaches.

  • Sneaker only! No flip flips, open toe sandals, cleats, or high heels are allowed on the field. Could injure yourself or damage the special rubberized surfacing.

FOOD & DRINKS > 

  • Only bottled water is allowed in the dugout (which CCNJML provides).

  • No outside food or drinks are allowed on the field or in the dugout.

    • Any outside food and drink consumption must be off the field.



FAQs

Do you have to be good at baseball to play?
No experience necessary! We're all about having inclusive fun.

How much does it cost?
$20 per Player covers the cost of the season.

What if I’m not sure I’ll like it?
The games are all in good fun. If you decide not to continue, that’s okay too!

Do I need to live in Camden County to play?
No. It doesn't matter where you live.

Do I need to have my own equipment?
No, Players have use of league equipment (bats, gloves & helmets). You can bring your own if you want, but you are responsible.

Do I have to attend every game?
Weekly attendance is not mandatory.

Are masks required?
As long as it is not a state mandate. At this current time, masks are optional.    

Will additional sanitization measures be in place?
Yes equipment will routinely be wiped down. Players and all others in attendance will be encouraged to use hand sanitizer. 

Will snacks still be provided?
Small bottles of water and pre-packaged snacks (small bags of chips, pretzels, etc.) will be provided in individual bags for each player and volunteer.
